About LearnK

LearnK is a small project about the heart of the Korean language. Instead of grammar drills, we take a single Korean expression — a word, an idiom, a feeling that is hard to translate — and unpack what it really means: its nuance, the culture behind it, and how Koreans actually use it.

Every article is written to be read in five languages: Korean, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese. Choose the language you are most comfortable in, and learn Korean from there.

How we build our content

Definitions and example sentences draw on the Korean Basic Dictionary (한국어기초사전), published by the National Institute of Korean Language and licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 KR. Our explanations and translations are original work.

LearnK is an independent project and is not affiliated with any institution or government body.
